The Democrats presented their programme for Arab society at the Ramada hotel in Nazareth on Thursday 15 October.
They promised a national emergency task force with NIS 1 billion a year against crime, to freeze the Kaminitz law and to halt demolitions and administrative fines until planning is settled. The party said it would ask for the internal security ministry.
The programme also includes amending the nation-state law and anchoring equality in a Basic Law. MKs Gilad Kariv and Naama Lazimi and candidates Sumaya Bashir and Ali Salalha took part.
