Ra'am leader MK Mansour Abbas wrote to Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara asking for an immediate freeze on administrative and judicial demolition orders, and on new administrative orders, until the election is over and a government formed.

He said Itamar Ben Gvir was boasting of demolitions in his campaign, harming the fairness of the election and the neutrality of law enforcement.

Abbas said residents of unrecognised Negev villages cannot get permits because the state has not planned them, and asked that no occupied home there be demolished without the attorney general's personal approval.
