An anti-government demonstration at Haifa's Horev Centre on Saturday 17 October heard calls for wider Arab and Jewish participation in the election.
Participants told Bokra that staying home shrinks representation, and rejected racism and Jewish-supremacist rhetoric. A street initiative, 'Let's talk about democracy', has held meetings in Wadi Nisnas, Baqa al-Gharbiya, Daliyat al-Karmel and Yarka.
Speakers listed included former prime minister Ehud Olmert and relatives of people killed on 7 October and in the war.
