Doctors, mayors and senior medical figures met in Kafr Qara's cultural centre on Sunday 4 October for an emergency conference on incitement and racism directed at Arab doctors and health workers.
It was led by the Forum for the Advancement of Health in Arab Society with the municipality and groups including the Arab doctors' association in the Negev and White Coats. Mayor Firas Badhi called for legal action against inciters.
On 14 October Israel Medical Association director general Leah Wapner urged the next government to protect the unity of medical teams and keep politicians from exploiting the health system.
