Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on his Arabic Facebook page that the government would strike crime organisations in Arab society 'with an iron fist'.
The post came with an announcement of NIS 1 billion to involve the Shin Bet in fighting crime and violence in Arab towns.
In July the cabinet had already approved moving about NIS 497 million from the 550 five-year plan for Arab society to the Shin Bet and police, a decision the Abraham Initiatives, ACRI and Mossawa criticised.
