A six-year-old girl, Tihani Mohammad Saeed Shalalfeh, died on Tuesday morning, 27 October, of wounds she suffered when Israeli forces opened fire in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, in the south of the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported from Gaza.
WAFA also reported a tank shell fired at an area north of al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, gunfire from military vehicles toward the eastern edge of al-Maghazi camp, and heavy fire in the al-Alam and al-Shakoush areas west of Rafah during the same morning.
The report did not include a response from the Israeli military. Al-Mawasi, the coastal strip west of Khan Younis, holds a large share of Gaza's displaced families in tents; a strike on a tent there a day earlier killed four people, including a girl, according to Al Jazeera.
