Israeli forces with heavy machinery completed the demolition of the Abdullah family's 200-square-metre home in al-Tur's Sheikh Anbar area, which housed 16 people, after the family had begun knocking it down themselves.

Local sources told WAFA a large force arrived with demolition machinery on Tuesday morning to complete the job.

The house had stood for 20 years.

A week earlier, on 6 October, a residential building in at-Tur was demolished, displacing 69 Palestinians, the most displaced by a single demolition in East Jerusalem since UN records began in 2009.
